A network designed to support Young Professionals age 21-35 to grow their networks, in cooperation with the other Nordic Business Councils. NBC YP aims to provide a platform for young professionals to attend events, gain insightful advice from industry executives and expand their network.

NBC YP mentorship program 2021/ 2022
The mentorship program is a six-month program which links ambitious young professionals with knowledgeable executives and entrepreneurs. The program will start in November 2021 and if you are interested in participating in the program, either as a mentor or mentee please send your application to info@nbcuae.org before the 21st October, 2021.

The program is by the Swedish Business Council, in collaboration with the Nordic Business Councils. 

A Mentorship Program for the Nordic Business Council members

Through the Mentorship Program, NBC and the other Nordic Business Councils will link ambitious professionals with knowledgeable executives and entrepreneurs.  Our mission is to promote a mutual exchange of ideas and experience between mentors and mentees. The program provides participants with personal career guidance, ideas, business training and networking opportunities to foster the relationships between the more experienced members and the young professionals. The goal is to create valuable synergies between mentors and mentees, where both can grow from each other’s experiences.

Mentees, a NBC member, will get a chance to learn from professionals who have extensive experience in their particular field of expertise. Get professional support with resumes, tips on how to cope with challenges in the workplace, how to make the most out of the career, as well as realizing business ideas and goals will also be part of the framework.

Mentors, a NBC member, will surely be amazed with new ideas and fresh ways of thinking, insights of potential recruits and, perhaps most important, the joy of seeing a mentee nourish, grow and succeed (priority to Corporate and Professional Members).

The Mentorship Program will benefit both parties in the fields of interest agreed upon by the mentor and the mentee and can be done in person or online. The program is done in collaboration with the other Nordic Business Councils in the UAE.

During the 6 month program the Swedish Business Council will organise:

• A Launch event, where all participants will receive a framework as a guideline

• A Mid program review event, to check how the progress is developing

• A Closing grand dinner event, sharing stories and insights from each couple

The participants may choose to arrange other meetups during the course of the program.

We would like to point out that it is the mentor and the mentee who decide how the mentorship program and their relationship develops. When and where they will meet, how the plan will be shaped, the communication executed, and issues tackled. It is important to know and acknowledge before applying, that is recommended that the mentee is responsible to drive the program and it is HIS/HER responsibility to learn and develop.

Please note that all applicants must be members of NBC or any of the other three Nordic Business Councils in Dubai. There is limited availability and mentee priority will be give to Young professionals. The participation in the program is free of charge and is subject to availability of a suitable mentor and a mentee.
