Summer is upon us…
We hope you all had a Happy National Day and enjoyed some festive time with family and friends on 17th of May. We certainly did and once again – it was lovely seeing those of you who joined us to celebrate at One&Only Royal Mirage. It turned out to be a magical evening….
And of course – a huge thank you to everyone for continuing to support NBC. Its great to see so many of you attending events and interacting with us on a regular basis. We have received a number of great ideas and suggestions from several of you, which we greatly appreciate and continue to encourage. Many of which we will actually be implementing over the summer months, ready for the second half of the year ensuring everything we do continues to add value, relevance and enjoyment to all our members and friends.

ADNOC’s ICV Program
Nordic Breakfast Seminar

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has launched the In-Country Value (ICV) program, aimed at increasing the company’s ICV contribution and strengthening its relationship with the UAE’s private sector and to encourage suppliers of goods and services to include higher Emirates content. They will be covering the following topics:
ICV Evaluation & Certification
ICV Improvement Plan + Monitoring
UAE Entry Strategy aligned with ICV program

Nordic Sundowner
Wednesday 29th May from 7pm – 10pm at Zabeel House, The Greens
This months Nordic Sundowner will be in cooperation with Para-triathlete Sebastian Engwald: Ironman finisher, World Cup podium conqueror and Paralympics chaser. Sebastian will share his journey with us; from how he lost part of his leg in a terrible boat-accident, his recovery and his incredible journey that’s brought him to where he is today -and how this is only the beginning!

Lønningspils

This will be our last “Lønningspils” before summer, but for those of you staying in Dubai during the hot months, we will be teaming up with our fellow business councils and still schedule joint, casual get-togethers over some refreshing beverages. Coming in August 2019….
In an effort to further enable and enrich community relationships and simplify communication moving forward we are excited to introduce EventBank to our NBC members. This platform will provide solutions designed to streamline operations, modernize processes, and eliminate engagement challenges. EventBanks innovative products combine the best event management, membership management, email marketing, CRM, and mobile apps into an all-in-one cloud platform. We are currently in test & learn phase and look forward to official launch in August, once you all return from summer holidays. We are planning a fun and engaging “Back to Work/School Kick Off” in September, a number of corporate events throughout the remainder of 2019 and will continue to work closely with Innovation Norway and the other Nordic Business Councils to ensure we bring valuable and relevant initiatives to our membership community and beyond.
